My Surroundings / Locality
Our home is on one acre overlooking the Atlantic Ocean in the Gaeltacht (Irish speaking) area of North West Donegal, home parish of Clannad, Enya & Altan. We are one mile from beach at Port Arthur. Donegal Airport, 40 minutes flying time from Dublin is 10 miles away (Aer Arann).
Ours is an ideal base for hill walking, touring, swimming, golf (clubs provided), river and sea angling, trips to Tory & Gola islands and excellent restaurants. Glenveagh National Park is 20 miles away. Annual festivals include the Errigal Arts Festival and the Mary from Dungloe Festival. Traditional music nightly in local pubs. Historic Derry City is an hours drive away.
